Compounding Pharmacies produce customized medications based on a patient’s specific needs that can’t be met by commercially available drugs. It is essential to have these compounding pharmacies tested to ensure their lab in which they are creating these drugs, is meeting necessary requirements. MESA3 provides testing of these Compounding Pharmacies to meet USP 797/800. Testing is performed per the latest CETA guidelines (Controlled Environment Testing Association). During our rigorous testing process, we will complete the following tests to comply with the California Board of Pharmacy:

• Room Certification
• Isolator Certification
• Recording of operator/filling process
• Airflow Visualization
• Viable Organism Monitoring and Identification
• Calibration of Room Differential Pressure Monitoring Device

During testing, if it is established the air system requires improvement or adjustment, our Test and Balance department can be engaged to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.
